Senior Capstone Project w/ Volkswagen

Stanford ME Capstone · Volkswagen IECC September 2025 – March 2026

Partnered with Volkswagen Innovation and Engineering Center California (IECC) as part of Stanford’s ME capstone course.
Designed a multi-axis door system that translates outward and forward rather than swinging on a hinge, increasing usable entrance volume by 253%.
Built and validated a full-scale prototype from user research to a working mechanical system targeted at drivers with reduced mobility.
